Not every country and programme is the same. There are significant differences relating to investment level, family qualification, permanent residency, minimum stay, citizenship and passports. Cyprus offers residency through investing €300,000 and citizenship (within 90 days) through investing €2.5 million(reduced to €500,000 after 3 years) in real estate. Portugal offers residency through investing €500,000. After six years applicants and their families can apply for citizenship. Spain offers a similar programme to Portugal but it's not possible to get citizenship unless residing in Spain for 10 years full time. Greece offers residency through investing €250,000 in real estate but does not lead to citizenship. Hungary offers residency through investing €300,000 in government bonds (refunded after 5 years). Citizenship in Hungary can be applied for after 5 years. Bulgaria offers citizenship through investing €1,000,000 in government bonds (refunded after 5 years)which can be financed for a total outlay of €280,000. Malta offers citizenship within a year, at a total cost of around €1.2 million (€650,000 goes to the government). There are also a number of restrictions and screening interviews. -------------------------------------------- 2014年3月28日，塞浦路斯内政部正式发布了新的塞浦路斯国籍获取方案，此方案针对非塞浦路斯国籍的人士，旨在进一步吸引海外投资。新的方案中，塞浦路斯议会降低了此前对投资额度的要求。具体变动内容如下：团体投资额不得低于1250万欧元，其中单个申请人的投资额度不低于250万欧元。 -------------------------------------------- 28 марта 2014 года правительство Кипра и Министерство внутренних дел объявило об изменениях критериев предоставления кипрского гражданства в порядке исключения для иностранных инвесторов, в целях дальнейшего содействия иностранным инвестициям на Кипре. В связи с этим, Кабинет Министров имеет право, по своему усмотрению, ослабить определенные критерии относительно инвестиций. Применение этих изменений в конкретных случаях, будет выглядеть следующим образом: Заявитель должен будет инвестировать сниженную сумму в размере €2,5 млн., на том основании, что он является участником коллективных инвестиционных схем на сумму не менее €12,5 млн.
